4.35 final drive

hello folks i found a final drive in a box of bits the crown has 74 teeth and the pinon has 17 teeth so i worked out its a 4.3/4.35 what would this be like in a f13 box bolted to a 1.6 gte engine with about 145bhp:thumb:

Sure its 74? 73 puts it at 4.29 which is rare as funk and I had one that never got used lol.
Otherwise becareful that you have a matching pair...... could make a horrible noise if they arent (then fail)

The 4.18 and 4.53's are a hoot to play with, It just makes the car pull and pull and pull till you hit a lower top speed. Although I found the 4.53 a little "keen" for road use, so the .29 would be a happy medium

you would drop the gearing by about 15% so the acceleration would be about 10-12% faster, but the top end would be 15% lower

deffo 74 but im going to count again now lol would the 17be right
