My first car was a completely standard 1litre white nova merit, j reg.
Took me a almost a year after i passed my test before i got one. I only got round to colour coding the bumpers but I had a lot of plans for it once i was off the dole, and when that happened, an old git over took me at a junction i was turning into and smahed into my front driver side. I sorted the bodywork myself, but it just felt like my car was violated and was never the same.....so i sold it. I saw it a few weeks ago with its new owner - brought back a wee tear

Jamaica Yellow 1.2 Merit, D reg.

Still got it... can't bring myself to scrap it.
I had it for about 12 months before i passed my test but couldnt do anything to it because my dad had it at his place near peterborough at the time... When i everntually go tmy grubby little mits on it i abused the poor thing to death - never really did much with it apart from some alloys and an SR interior.

I still love that car though even though it is falling apart behind my place. :D

My first car was a silver 1.2 B reg nova.

The rear arches were basically filler held together with a bit of rust.

I did a few mods to it, like new rear arches, a nice red door (thought I would try something different  ), and the rest of the usual stuff.

Then came the gte :D :D :D . Owned that three years, had it off the road for two of them    .

my first car was a 1969 ford opus kit car with a 1500cc pre crossflow motor in it. It has twin 40's uprated cam stage 2 head and many other engine mods. (I was quite surprised when my dad came home and told me that i can insure it when i pass my test!)
I bought it when i was 13 and used it round fields and things when i went to shows with my dad.
I still got it but i have a nova aswell at the moment Its a 1.2i fun it has a cordoba splitter, Flushed tailgate, BB2 Back Box, lowered 45mm,Ace alloys, K&N induction kit, GTE interior, Rear diffuser and some GSI skirts (in the post)
And i havent even passed my test yet cos im not quite 17 yet only a month and a bit to go :? (and counting)

silver mk1 fiesta. this thing was class. chrome bumpers all round, blue interior, metallic paint, no rust and no MOT. my big bro sold it to me when i was about 16 for a 10er. needed a bit of work. me and a mate razzed it around various lanes and fields where i live for about 2 years on and off, until one day it got stuck in the mud. tried to pull it out with the tractor, and nearly got that stuck too.

left it in that field for about 9months. it was by a hedge, and the other side of the hedge was a footpath. the hedge was very thick, with two lines of barbed wire through it. by the end of the 9 months when we pulled it out, there was a hole in the hedge about 10ft wide where all the nosy prats had been climbin through to have a look.

by this time there was no hope of a successful MOT test for less than a small fortune. it sat in an old hay barn next to a tractor for 6 months, then last march we towed it to the scrap yard.

poor little car (sob sob)

The 944 was front engined ! And does not have a boxer engine like the 911 or the bettle

Benjoyce
25-02-03, 03:36 PM
it might have been a 911 engine then?!?! i thought it was 944, but i could be wrong, all i know is it was fast!

MattNovaSport
25-02-03, 03:40 PM
That is probally more likely, as the 944 is also water cooled which would have ment trying to fit radiators etc.

The 911 is Air cooled and should just "fit in" with some gentle tickling.

Benjoyce
25-02-03, 03:41 PM
that sounds more like it coz it fit straight in he said.

Wiggie
25-02-03, 04:22 PM
oh, porches aint my subject realy! i prefer to put my mind to things i can actuly achieve,...actuly i dont think i would really want a porche.
