Due to a change in plans and this dash not reading the sort of RPM I will require I have decided to sell this dash and find something more suitable for my requirements.

The dash is the older 8131 model which features everything that the ST8130 now plus a few other functions

Due to a few marks on the screen I had this totally refurbed by Stack at a very high cost, below is what work was carried out :

Latest LCD display
White Face
Blue Backlights
New glass screen
Full checkover and software upgrades

That alone was nearly £500 but has left the dash in a new condition which I am sure will interest people.

The dash unit will read :

RPM
Wheel Speed
Oil Temp
Oil pressure
Water Temp
Air Temp
Battery Voltage
Fuel Level
Lap Timing

It has features for a programmable externally mounted shift light and when using a Stack lap timer box it will display your lap times (current and best) on the display.

The dash has programmable alarms so you can set ie: high oil temp or low oil pressure, the dash will switch to that display and illuminate a bright light on the dash to alert you of a potential problem with the engine and its running.

The dash will come with a brand new speed sensor (£140) and the original VDO oil pressure sender, full wiring harness, 4 buttons and full instructions, I have always used standard sensors for the other readouts which has never been a problem, setting up the dash unit for your fuel sender etc is fully explained in the manual.

The dash is currently mounted in a backplate suitable for a late nova dashboard, it also had the Bright 6 display fitted which gives you 6 LED's for Handbrake, Alternator charge, left and right turn, oil light and headlights which is very useful and compact, this is easily removable if you choose to fit it into your own dashboard.

I'll call you sunday, stock rev limit is 9k and it should rev to just over that 9200 when mapped so it still might be alright.

Guessed what engine it is yet :d

PM me some info or pics as I "may" be up for a deal :thumb:

They are by far the best looking dashes available especially in white with the blue backlights, price isn't £800, just priced it as per the rules but want some around that ideally

stock rev limit 9k
gotta be a honda engine, blatently

Only STOCK 9krpm to my mind was the F20 out of the S2000, and a few B18s out of the JDM DC2

It was made to be in a wide bodied nova !

It is indeed a F20c, but going on Jenveys with a few other bolts on bits, expect to see a reliable 265hp if not more :d Alloy block, sensible price to replace (if you ever need to ! ) and has a 6 speed bolted to the back of it.

XE's are too expensive to build properly and tbh still can't match the Hondas power and reliability which will eventually suit me far better than a engine that if it dies will cost upwards of 5k to rebuild !

Very nice!
I take it this is going into a nova??
What management you going to be using?
265 is easily achievable, 240 std!

Cheers, gave up on novas a while back, always been a bit of a Ford man and been building a nigh on Group 4 MK2 Escort for longer than I care to think about.

Have looked into several ecu's, Emerald apparently does the job well and lets face it its a atmo engine so any half decent ecu will cope, its more down to who maps it to decide on what power it makes.

I can agree on part of it, but its a bit of a black art getting the VTEC mapping right,

i did mine on the road myself in all 3 of my DC5s, took ages to get it spot on, but when i did, i made nigh on 290bhp out of a 2litre 4 banger!

I'll use either Dave Walker or these guys as thats who the parts will come through

I won't map it myself as I don't have the experience

I havent got the space to cover the full spec of the Pi system I have got... lol

But good choice of lump - a few 'colleagues' have 275 on a relatively standard set up with TB's, so cant deny that I havent thought about it for the S! ;)

Good thing about mine is that you can config the dash to your max rpm anyway, so even though the 'dial' ends at 9, you can tell it to go up to 12 I think!?

275hp ish and the right gearing in the axle should still make it a bloody fast car I hope.

I wouldn't like to compare the costs of getting that power from a F20 and a xe lol

Sent you a PM re dash
