this new Nova that I have, its been in dry storage for the past 7 years or something, so the paintwork has no shine to it.
obviously I could do it manually, but thats way too much effort... would a DA or similar be of any use?
maybe I could hire Benn for the day lol
what polish do I need to look for to get it looking spangley again? I presume not T-Cut?
Any advice would be good :)
use a mop and some g3 compund it will bring it up like new, make sure you wax it after

Yeah if done right farcia G3 is awesome. Just take your time and keep building the layers up. Should look like glass when finished.
You can borrow me, bit far to drive tho...
Get a mop/polisher/da and get some 3m fast cut.
This will remove all the dull surface paint and contamination(sp?)
And bring the life and shine back to the paint. The finish that off with a good pure wax and your sorted, all you'll need to do if wash it off.
Thats basicly what i did on no-spec if you remember that?
If you really wanna go mad say and i'll write you a list up..

A good wash/degrease of all the paintwork on the car
Use some cutting compound to cut away at the old paint and bring back a fresh layer
Use some polish to bring back the depth/shine of the paint
Then as Benn says, use some wax to protect the paint and give it a protected shine :)
You dont need to polish after using a cutting compound as thats what the compound does...

the golden rule generally is use the least abrasive and increase it till you get the desired finish.
Drive down and see me and you'll drive home gleeming.
