Cav Turbo Diesel help!!

Where does this wire go? The hole in the lug seems to be too small for a battrey terminal and its purple in colour heading towards the bulkhead from around the Battrey area.

Look down the back of your rocker cover and its a metal strip joining all four glowplugs iirc, fairly easy to see!

inlet manifold side. across the top of the glow plugs. there should be a hole and little 8mm screw/bolt at the gearbox end for that wire to attach to

Cheers Spud, thats fantastic. I'd assume by that not being connected, it'd stop the car from starting yeah? Another thing is theres a small white wire (possibly with a yellow tracer) coming out on its own above the fuel filter on the bulk head, any ideas where its from?

Yes cos if its not connected then the plugs wont/shouldnt be earthed so the circuit wont be complete to allow the plugs to warm up, should fire over and over but doubt it would catch for ages as the fuel would be too cold to ignite!

Id go for a looky at the wire for you but its pissing it down here now, id guess possibly something for oil pressure sensor or a telltale of sorts?

I dunno, I'm just being lazy tbh mate. lol

Another thing, this yoke doesnt seem to be fueling although there is fuel in the tank. Stupid sounding question, but has it got a Fuel Pump Relay like Petrol Cavs do?

Afaik, no...

Theyre mechanical injection so it should be on a lift pump like a carb engine bud!

Hmmmmmm, must get a look round it quickly tomorrow. Its taking up space at the minute, I'd like to get it going and driving but if it isnt sorted midday tomorrow, its getting towed out and the next Transplant is to take place. On a tight schedule this week... Anyone feel like lending a hand, feel free. lol
