heater blower problem

ive just got a 1992 nova luxe+ 1.2 and the blower only works on flat out,what could be the the problem with it? could it be the switch or the blower its self.:confused:

Resistor definitely. The switches are reliable.

(green cylindrical thing, probably strapped onto the side of the motor.) Also where the wires crimp onto it they sometimes fatigue or corrode. If it is a 3 speed fan you will see 4 wires on it.)

or ask at the vaux dealer for one from an astra or a corsa with a 3 speed fan
