Basically I found a nokia 6500 slide a while back but its stopped accepting sim cards, when you enter the pin number it just says "sim card registration failed" The sim card is fine as it still works in my old phone.

Can I get the phone unblocked or is it no good?

its the servic4e provider was the phone an ex contract as they can bar the phone

if its been blocked I.E reported lost or stolen, the operator can bar the phone completely by barring the IMEI number which is recognised to which ever provider thus flashing and ringing bells that the phone is barred,

get down your local market mate, some phone stalls can flash the memory of the phone and give it a new IMEI so it will work :thumb:

i thought it was the IMEI number lol it worked with my sim for nearly a week lol

Cheers mate i'd been to a couple of mobile repair shops but they dont think it can be used now!?

But you reckon if its 'flashed' it can be used?

nah, ive had a couple done, lol dads a taxi driver, so always getting em,

had a d900 about a month after the release date! lol, got it flashed an made 200 notes from it! RESULT!

they have 30 days to claim and if they dont... lol

yup, i think in taxi's its 6 weeks, lol

Yeah mate you're welcome to have a look, but its on hold till my panel beater gets back to me. Got all the parts to fix it (besides a front bumper) just needs someone with the skills.

If the IMEI is blocked and can't be sorted then get it on the bay mate. WIll work in other countries. Little help I know. lol

hence flashing mate you can get a new IMEI set...
