My new girl yippee!!/Fail!!

As i said before i won a mk1 Nova SR xe on ebay for £220 been stood for a few years engine been trial fitted but not plumbed in wired in etc etc.
Got to wales this morning and had a nightmare getting it on the old faithfull trailer!! Forgot to see if the engine was seized:roll: doh. Got it back home and guess what solid as a rock!! :D :( fail oh well. Shes had some oil down the bores and will see what happens more than likely a rebuild! Came with 2x gte doors in good nick gte front bumper a momo steering wheel some new hub flanges anti roll bar lowering kit rear spax adjustables 15" alloys with x2 eagle f1's and 2x budgets. magnex exhaust and all the usual sr bits and bobs!!

Plans are rebuild engine, x1 new arch, fit the doors, new front wings weld up boot corner and anywhere else and then respray and get it back to its original state with an xe added extra!! some pics from today!!

i no ye mate shame about the engine but oh well! from what i can see its just the o/s boot floor the n/s innner wing by the strut and the 1 rear arch, the chassis rails look abit scabby but will get poked!! :P lol allg good though :cool:

had a poke round with a small tapping hammer today - fail needs -

1 patch o/s sill
slam panel
o/s boot corner
rear panel patching
o/s rear floor patching
n/s rear floor patching
n/s inner wing patching
o/s inner wing patching
x2 front wings
1 arch repair panel
2x doors

to be honest its not all that bad but ive just spent a bit of time welding up my D reg 1 and canny be arsed to do this!!

so of to the scrapyard in the sky she goes!!

However the engine, box, rear suspension, interior, clocks, alloys bootlid, SR front bumper, Sr grill, bonnet, steering wheel, plus gte front bumper and x2 gte doors are being saved!!

No way mate, you should save it! especially as you can weld. We've seen much worse ones saved.

i know mate!! lol but i have a d reg early nova on y drive with 12 months mot and a poxy 1.2 lol

Shame but not worth saving as a keeper, mainly a loss in terms of how peach white mk1 SR's are IMO. Plans did sound good too.
