Hi all, well to say im annoyed isnt the word!

After lengthy dicscussuions with an old boy, we agreed £200 for his 1300sr

It had 8k on it, when it was smashed, and "HE" reshelled it!

With a brand new shell from vaux!

The currant shell has 15k on it and is prestine!

So we agreed, then I ring him to confrim, and the COONT has scrapped it in for £2000:mad:

Sounds fair. You offered him £200 for a mint 1.3sr and he chopped it in for £2000, got his head screwed on really.

Old bloke wins there im afraid.

TBH no standard Nova, even with 1k miles on is worth £2k IMHO.

Fool you should have offered more than £200! He might have taken a fair price for it instead of seeing a car kept in such condition all this time turned into a cube.

As soon as the scappage scheme was announced I saw problems like this coming up, once people realised they can effectively get 2k for a car worth a lot less they'll suddenly want that for it, or chop it in and it gets crushed.

Hopefully though the finance on the new car will be screwing him over, as most of the deals have been bumped here and there to get the money back.

The way the economy is you could have walked in and bargained 2k off the new price of a car anyway, it's totally pointless.

Excatly, tbh i would bet some places you could get 4k off!

You'd get the 2k fairly easily, like I said, they'll get it back by hoiking the finance deal up anyway, unless you pay cash.

Yer, even if you paid cash im sure you could get a amount off, maybe not 2k but still.
