mmm clean things, i like clean things, give me some tips for cleaning an engine bay would you chaps, even as far as polishing!

i want shiny stuff

Get a good degreaser and degrease everything, then wash clean. Watching anything thats elecy.

Then paint anything you can, polish? Remove said item, paint strip if needs be then start sanding. 180 grit 400, 320, 800 1000 then geta good buffing wheel and start buffing. Either using proper polishing soap or using atuosol.

Try to not get in water inside the car too.

by inside the car, do you mean in the interior/driving section bit lol, or the engine its self? im going to bag up loose cables and open pipework, such as from the rad and manifold etc! cheers :)

into the cabin, if the engine is still fitted then the dizzy is the main place to worry about, plus all the other wiring on the TB etc.
