ahh well I had a good run.... fell off 2.5 years ago and never went back on, bar with a bit of blutack for the MOT's

I shall wait till I get told to put it back on properly though

lol thats what we got told too, apperntly vosa will be able to stop and issue you fines without police present.

Weve been told that we have to carry spare bulbs just in case.

The reason they get funny about it being on the front (and also why they get shirty about sticker plates) is because they supposedly aim the laser gun at the numberplate to check speed readings. As officially its the only reliable flat, forward facing surface on the front of a car.

Mind you, if your average traffic wooden top can reliably hit an object as small as that from distance on a moving target, they should all have been recommissioned as army snipers, and we'd have been out of Afghan years ago lol

lol Good point, So if you have an MX5 are you meant to get an plate that not stuck to the bonnet, or some old kit car etc??

I got my class1 in 1996. i've always had a bag full of spare bulbs when driving a wagon... it should be law for car drivers too
