Where is the best place to get heatwrap? and how much would i need for the 4/2/1 manifold on my SRi?

i got mine of ebay mate, no too dear, i brought 1 roll at first and it wasnt enough so i went back to buy another roll and they had stoped selling it so i brought 2 rolls of some other stuff and that was more than enough!
Aye, eBay. Make sure you have your hands/arms covered when using it though.

I think I used 50M for wrapping a 4-1 manifold as you have to overlap by atleast 25% if not 50%
Dip it in water before you try and fit it. It'll keep the dust down and make it easier to wrap tighter.

you gonna wait days for it to fully dry before driving it?
start it once, bit of water burn off, done.
Have you ever spilt water on a hot exhaust? Steam!

i think the gradual rise in the manifold temp devided by the volume of water the wrap hold will be dry before normal operating temp.
not sopping wet... damp. :wall:

FWIW mine got soaked in coolant when I did a head gasket swap some time ago. There was lots of steam and a bit of a whiff but that was all. World still turning.
