do both fuel pipes run up through the body at the front?

Yes. Left fuel out, right is fuel return. They will be (looking at the engine bay) next to the left strut, to the right. You should see two thin pipes.

cheers matey i put them both through the holes but one had a rubber grommet (to stop chaffing??) and one didn't. need to get something to stop it chaffing.
