Decent car polish/wax and tips

Hi im looking to give the civic a really good clean soon and was wondering what wax/polish people use and what they recommend?

Also Im normally more of a just jump in it and drive it and not that bothered how it looks so i dont have a clue reallylol do i:

1.wash
2.clay bar
3.paint cleaner
4.polish
5.wax
6.done

oh its silver aswell

Rinse the car 1st to get rid of most of the surface muck
Wash the car with some soap etc (or use the 2 bucket method)
I've never personally clayed the Nova...But I might try it
Get some AG Paint Renovator (Paint Cleaner)
Then follow that with some AG Super Resin
Then fire on some AG Aqua Wax
And finally put some AG Extra Gloss Protection on there to seal the fresh/shiney paintwork :)

That's roughly how I clean the Nova except the claying process :)

Vaughan, get some clay. You'll b amased what polishing doesnt remove!

Adam yes what youve listed is fine. Get good polish and waxes (depending on what you wanna spend)

where is the best place to get the clay bar from?

Halfords do the megs kit.

Wash n rinse the car, clay bar it(keep it nioce and lubed) but megs 1,2,3 steps et vola the deepest, cleanest, smoothest finish :D

Meguiars is a good place to start, but look at chemical guys, dodo juice, collinet(sp) there are alot of good waxes and polish now.
