Hi guys i bought a 1987 shell and i was wondering what i would need to change to allow for a 1.6 gte engine to be fitted , the car was a 1.2 choked model would this mean i will have to change the whole cars wireing loom ? i got a air flow metre and a ecu with the engine and some electrics were on it also i will upload a photo of the parts i have got and the engine if anyone could help it would be brilliant thanks Nath . :thumb:

Fuel tank, fuel lines, you could wire the 1600 loom into the 1200 carb but your have to mess around with the fuel pump wiring too, If you havnt got any extras on the loom think about fiting a 1600 full car loom.

its 4 extra wires for a gte. the 1.2 is easy peasy to convert
