As above basically, Is the fuel pipe 'diaphagm damper' needed? As mine is pissing out fuel :( And its got an MOT tomorrow

So i was wondering if can just put an 8mm pipe connector in and get rid of it?

Nope, took it out about two years ago when i was told they do hardly anything.
Dont remember tbh. But wanna say its ment to stedy the flow of fuel. But they stop working with in a few years.
I touched the nut on the bar on the top once, it snaped the top off...lol

I have googled it, but just get a few links to sites trying to selling them...

It cuts out vibration in the fuel flow, i.e. steadies it out iirc.

Just bin it, its just one more thing to rust and leak.

they cost around £50 these days, if you have a different fuel pressure reg, then its not worth it anyway

I'd leave it in, i'm still running one on mine. Vauxhall wouldn't have fitted it for the sake of it surely?

*looks great Mazz!

Took mine out and it didn't seem to make any difference, but i think i'll put one back in when a get one for a reasonable price, not paying £50 for one!
