Most annoying things to fit, how the hell do you lot fit them without scratching the hell out of your cars?

Still not fitted mine properly, dont know whether removing the few mm of sound deadening on the front floors going to help its squashed against the roof and doesnt want to do up properly:confused: The middle loops got plenty of clearance

Got no dash in at the moment either lol

Not sure what make it is,

Even if i do these bolts tight the tags dont look like they will close flat?

That a Fabricage one. Scratched my car quite badly fitting mine in plus it has a tilt/slide sunroof so was even tighter.

The tags don't close totally flat on mine either, bit closer than that though.

They are a mega tight fit, as they wouldn't be much use if they had "play" in them.
But i would remove the sound deadening from around the front feet, you'll have to do that anyway to weld spreaders in???

Going to weld the plates on underneath, gonna bring a socket and my battery gun home with me and get on after work this week, got too pissed off keep doing it up/undoing by hand lol

The front tabs will close in a bit more, just odd as the rest of the cage seems better fitting.

I thought of leaving the cage in and just mask it up for spraying, but then i would have to put the dash in first so not gonna be able to :(

Thanks guys

if the tags closed up flat they wouldn't clamp on the rollcage bars, as they'd be clamping themselves together with enough room for a rollcage to fit in the middle.

take it back out, test fit it all up outside that way you'll know what everythings meant to look like (gapwise) when it's in the car IMO

but that envolves effort lol

Probably will do that, need to remove the front sections again to get rid of all the sound deadening anyway. Got an idea that might work to help fit it in easier for when its all painted so will have a go.
