cd player not holding settings

now call me thick but my cd player dont hold the settings i put into it
like front - rear bass. treble, mid and so on
it also did it with my old cd player so i no its the loom on the car!

but what would it be?
i think its because it hasnt got a perm live and its loosing the settings when i take the key out?

any ideas lads and ladies?

you need to change round permanent live and ignition live. always happens

and how do i change it from ignition live to perm live then

do i just not use the live from the nova loom and go straight to a perm live source like the fag lighter?

the memory needs a feed that is run live from the battery. then you choose if you want to use that feed for the main power or go with the ignition on feed.

you need to cut and re wire them, red is live iirc and black is ignition. gayW06 will confirm this

Swap the yellow and red wires around in the iso lead, put a small screwdriver down and perswade the pins out, then swap the around!

Or you can get an adaptor lead from halfrauds:)

this is my iso leads, i changed over yellow and red.

follow the red and black wires from the nova loom through the iso and see which ones meet with nova ones. alex, black is ign live isnt it? just want to make sure

Yer, on the nova side of the ISO plug you want to swap the red and black, Nice and easyyyy

iv done it lads ... actually did it a different way but same idea

i have a double connector thats on the cd player loom and basically all i did was pull the red wire out of the connector and plugged it in with the yellow one i did think at 1st it was gonna set on fire rofl but nope it sorted it

can get pics if any1 needs help in future (y)

if it is a aftermarket radio swap the yellow and red wires.
they may even have inline bullet connectors for this purpose
