Because you will be able to view alot more with an open face helmet than with a full face, you can hardley even notice an open face helmet when you have it on.

but a lot of racers prefer the full face one so when they stick it into the armco, their face stays intact. trust me, a steering wheel in the face really stings

but if it's a choice out of just those two i would say the shark because for one i haven't heard of kiwi in my life and 2 the shark is more moddern. it is advised that you change a helmet every two years even if it's not been worn. Thus the later one being safer

Good point but if you have good harnesses you shouldn't hit the wheel. Do you Have harnesses BIGS, or just standard bandard.

If you haven't brought one yet i would go for an open face, if it's the choice of those two sharky.

The OMP open face one would be perfect. I've always used an open face lid at track days, wouldn't want to wear a full face, its bad enough having to wear one on the bike!!

Obviously they will offer less protection in a proper heavy impact, but for the odd track day open face all the way!

I know the chap who runs YBRacing as well, he's the founder of the 106 Rallye Register and he's a really good bloke! :)

a car one is a good start. They are designed in different ways. Plus a lot of trackdays are getting hot on helmets and wont let you play if you have a bike lid.

I have an open and full face, tbh I prefer the full face. The vision is no different, you have the easy life if you manage to blag a rid in a locaterfield/topless car etc
