now this is the first time iv used the f20, i used a f13 before, so im hopin iv made some noob mistake, but i was under the impression that to fit the f20 all you need are the 3 spacers and a modified rear bracket? iv posted a few pics to see if any1 has an idea whats gone wrong cheers

Your need to adjust the rear mount by making the hole bigger iirc, search it dude.

I've drilled a hole in the gearbox mount where the hole in the competition mount is and just bolted it up. Or in the past I have elongated the slot on the mount.

If you look in this piccy you can see the extra hole. Please ignore the mistake on the gearbox mount.

that a standard bracket or custom too ?
wouldnt drilling so close to exising holes weaken the bracket ?

friend of mine put an xe with f20 in his nova, (with standard mounts mind) but we still had a right ar5e lining the mounts up, from what i can remember the rear one had to be done first, then the front gearbox, then with the use of a helper to lever the engine into place to get it on the front engine mount. it wouldnt go in any other way, nothing would line up.

still a standard bracket m8 thats what i was worried about, weakening it, would like a def answer of someone thats done it and used it 2 be sure cheers

logically you would think it would weaken it, but if dars done it to his and says its cool, im sure it can take it, as he thrashes his round a track.

edit : ideally welding plates in those holes before the re-drill would be optimum, i wouldnt question it if the hole was bang inbetween the other 2, it would retain some strength, but it looks like your gonna have to drill prety close to one of those, possibly even over-lap into the hole, and that might be a bit dodge, mind you those mount brackets are fairly strudy things, might get away with even that ?
