debating on a 1.8 16v for a nova from a vectra i think the wires should be preety much the same as a 2.o but what do i do about the immobiliser? with the chip in the key??

im prob not the best person to tell you, but from what i understand, theres some sort of sensor that talks to the key to bypass the immobiliser for starting/running. (i think its usually planted behind the ignition barrel keyslot, close to where the key enters for communication). if its on its own wire circuit branching off the ecu loom, u could always gaffa tape the key to this sensor and stash it somewhere behind the dashboard so the immobilisers permanently disarmed ? prob not the ideal thing from a security point of view, but it means the engine will work lol
