gearbox problem

i've got a problem changing from 1st into 2nd on my 1.0L nova. to get it into 2nd i have to push the gearstick over to the left slightly. i think it's the linkage thats gone tits up. anyone got any ideas? :?:

hmmm does sound that way

follow the guide that the haynes says about resetting the linkage etc

the other thig it could be is a bush inside, basically it helps you select second from first helping to stop you selecting the wrong gear
