12nv head onto c14se block

as above will it work or do i have to use the 12st head instead, any help would be greatly appreciated:thumb:

fairly sure all the smallblock 8 valve stuff bar the 1 litre OHV is interchangeable, it'll physically go on, but from what ive heard that combo doesnt last more than 3 months as the compression ratios upped a fair bit, and either the head or the piston rings tend to fry.

if your set on it tho, youll need a 1.4 head gasket. the cambelt im not sure. you may aswell use a 14NV cam carrier with the cam and mechanical pump. a 1.3SR inlet manifold will go on the 1.2 head and allow you to run a 1.4 2e twin choke carb. might aswell fit a new waterpump for around £20-30 while your there.

cheers for the info if thats the case and it'll only last about 3 months then i dont think ill be doing it as i need it last a lot longer than that.

Erm the C14SE head is the best of the lot if you have one?

12nv head is square port isn't it? if it is then yes you will be better of using a 12st one.

I would use a c14se head. big valve more reliable than sticking a 1200 head on.

Well my engine is a Carbed NV engine and it's cathedral ports, the SPI engines have square ports dont they?

He's talking about the 12NV head, which is not square port.
