Right first off I'm 17 so I'm sure NOTHING is possible but...
My mates need a lift to Manchester airport on sunday night, or rather their luggage does.
Now I dont want to risk breaking down in mine as I have super bad noise coming from somewhere so...
Does anyone rekon I could get temporary insurance for the night on my mates policy, or is it just a no go at my age?
You can probably get him to add you, then take you off, for the cost of 2 admin fees+a small amount?

Yeah he could add you but most companys won't do it as 1 day only, just set it up pretending you are doing it yearly then cancel it as soon as your done:thumb:

I remember my mum added my grandad for a week on a holiday when they borrowed my mums car for a tenner for the week, I know it'll be more than that but jst really want to know what it'll be.

depends on the car you will be driving as well;)
If you could realistically be insured on the car normally, i'm sure you could be added to the policy then taken off, might have to pay ridiculous amounts to put you on, but it should be refunded when you come off

It's a 1.1 206, infact its a cheaper car to insure than mine.
He's going to ring them in morning, it's Churchill and they're usually quite good with younger drivers so...
Temporary insurance is a no go, due to age. As will hiring a car.
Churchill should be able to add a second driver for a short period, I put myself onto my sister's 180 for a week a few years back and that was covered with them. If not, add yourself and pay the extra then remove after a short period.

Cheers NBC but I want to rag a Frenchy down the motorway :P
If we manage to get insurance, it's going to be rather wierd as I havent driven a car that 1. had no noises/rattles (although it is french so...) and 2. had power steering...since I was taking driving lessons nearly a year ago.
