How random, me and the mrs have just come back from protarus last week! Its the second time we've been and considering going back again next year. If your a party animal go to ayia napa which is a short bus ride away. However if you want to just kick back and relax whilst enjoying one of many trips,watersports through the day and nice restaurants followed by comedy/tribute acts and karaoke on an evening whilst having a few beers then it may be for you. I can even recommend a hotel if your seriously interested. :)

Golden star fella. stayed there twice and its faultless. The only bad thing I could say about protarus in general is all the mainlanders hit the beaches/surrounding areas at the weekends making it horrendously busy. Best bet is to arrange your trips for then!

I've been to cyprus a couple times on "work". Wasn't that impressed with it tbh.

Protaras is good. Me and the misses went there for a mates wedding last year. Plenty of bars, restaurants etc. Beaches are good. We'd go again. Agia napa isnt too far away either if you want a hectic night out! Us lads went there for drinkies after karting.
