painting rusty springs

what is the process off painting rusty springs? Is it just sanding, priming painting? any type of paint?

Id just Wire brush them down to get rust off then paint them with hammerite.

rub them down till your happy there smooth. prime then paint.

use a coarse sand paper take all paint off til their bear metal n they'll look spot on

I'd recommend using 'Plasti-Coat' I think it's called

It's like flexible paint as you'd need for painting springs - As they move and bounce hence the reason the original paint flakes and cracks
