rather than destroy the doors further with my poor welding, i'm just going to fibreglass the holes for the time being. i've never used it before but i've bought a complete "kit", is it fairly straight forward or are there things i should look out for?

cheers:D

kit? why dont you just use the paste that would be easier, maybe use some mesh if big holes

links not working on my comp, when you say fiberglass kit, i take it you have the sheets of fibers and you have to mix a resin. when applying it you put some resin on first with a brush then put the matting on keep dabbing some resin into it so its proper soaked and just keep building it up like so. make sure you only mix the catalist to 2 % as depending what your using it on it can catch a light. for repairs (bodges lol) it would be best just to by some paste its a lot thicker and easier to use for holes get some fine wire mesh and then simply apply the fiberglass paste it is so much quicker and easier for what you want to do

When I have used fibreglass paste before I found it was hard to get a good smooth finish with it, so I would skim a layer of normal body filler on top.
