I err, Took the inlet nozzle off my airbox (1.2 spi) so it makes a better noise and impresses all my charva mates so I look cool, I wanted to see if it would make any difference at all and so far it sounds beefier (which my gormless mates think is cool) and pops now and then which makes me look cool , But it seems to me that it has also reduced fuel consumption (£45 in 3 days is overkill even by my standards).

Has it actually reduced fuel consumption or am I just imagining things?

Some parts of the above statement are exagerated, All my mates still think I'm a **** :( But this is the best I can do until the new engine is built

Won't have reduced it, more like increased it, it's the old "it makes more noise so you abuse it more just for the noise" trick.

£45 in three days is easily done, depending on how many miles you've done

I presume you mean the little handle like bit coming off the bin lid.

Most people bin them and usualy end up booting it more, using more fuel llol

Try roller cola instead it fizz's and pops all day long, iv found it gives more power then petrol and at 20p for 2lts.
