One of my neighbours has jumped off the top floor of our block of flats to fall to the concrete below!
Someone was walking thru the courtyard and saw her climb over and jump.
Not sure exactly who it is yet, just know its someone from the block opposite me.

Seriously tho, I don't agree with suicide but fully appreciate the pressures that can make you feel that way, my thoughts are with her friends, family etc.

might have been p1ssed/stoned and thought she could fly.

The gf dad is currently on intensive care, he was waiting for a major op when someoned decided to jump off the motorway fly over. This chap then took priority over her dad. Selfish.
Must take a hell of a lot of **** to make you want to do it.

I've heard that 2/3's down most people change their mind although how they discovered that I dont know.
My sister has attemtped suicide 3 times and my step-dad has threatened it a few times. I agree that its selfish but I understand why they wanted to do it.
Dont know if many people know the Orwell Bridge but some girl who lives near me jumped off that recently. Famous spot for suicide round here but never actually known someone to do it. There is a samaritans phone at the top of it lol

hmmm..... arghhhhh who the f uck moved the trampoline lamo
Darren, behave!
That is awful.
I understand that people think it's selfish, my mum's sister found her uncle when he's slit his own throat. She went to grammar school and university and did really well but it broke her. She was never right since then, he ruined her whole life.
My sister is a nurse and tells me of all the time she spends caring for drug addicts/ alcoholics/ the morbidly obese etc. IMO people like this are all very selfish too. Save the beds for the accident prone like me lol or those who need operations/ treatment through no fault of their own.

There is a smaritans phone on the itchin bridge near me, well known for jumpers (not the wooly kind either!)
Whatever her reasons, that's a selfish way to go.
Feel sorry for the clean up crew. :tard:

Found out this morning that she lived in the flat opposite from where she jumped and the girl that saw her was her friend who had just walked out the front door of their flat to find out where she'd gone and then saw her jump over the edge of the railing.
The police are not treating it as suspicious.
The Caretaker for our block is a little shaken. He heard the scream and came outside to see what had happened and was 2nd on the scene. A "real mess" where his words.
My uncle topped himself.
Its a bit unfair saying suicide is 'selfish'. If you're in a mental position to end your own existence I doubt you even think about anything at all apart from the deed. Selfish isn't the word. Dimisnished responsibility probably fits better.

Get any pictures?
Words out of my mouth....
I've known two people to do themselves in. One of whom was my best mate when I was 18. Both were by far not the easiest, quickest or least painful ways of doing it so it makes you wonder.

its a cry for help in a lot of cases
yeahh thats insane, think of bieng up there and making yourself like, jump off =/ in that 2 seconds it took to cover that 40 feet, i wonder what was going thru her head :S
Well I imagine the last thing to go through her head would have been her bum.
its a cry for help in a lot of cases
I would have thought the cry for help would be before people would kill them selves, A lot of the time people say they will commit suicide just to get attention, I know people who have said they would do it, Got attention but never gone through with it, Some people hurt them selves for attention, Sad but true.
But who hasn't said or contemplated suicide at some low point in life, Not everyone has a kushty lifestyle but I agree there is no need for people to do it, There is help for everyone, And my view on life is, You never know what tomorrow will bring.

Its not even slightly as clear cut as that. Ive read a lot of books about stuff like this recently, mainly because I read a book called Silent Scream by a guy called Josh cannon and its opened my eyes somewhat. He was sexualy abused by his father from 6 months, and also by his gym teacher. I strongly recommend you read it because I was as naive as you about the subjects of suicide and self harm. Self harm in particular.

I think the issue of selfishness depends on the situation. I dont think my sister was selfish at all in attempting suicide and we all agree that they were more a cry for help than a serious attempt because she told my mum straight away each time she overdosed. However, my step-dad threatening it but not doing it is because he has four step-children and a young daughter and its not nice everyone getting into a panic each time he says it, worrying because he didnt answer his phone the first time you rung etc.
Again, with regards to cutting yourself, my sister used to do that also and I hated her for it before we knew the reason behind it. Now I understand the reasoning behind I feel for people that do it although I still struggle to empathise.

Not really read what anyone else put but... if it is suicide then i think it's disgusting how she did it in a manner that it mite have effected other peoples lives... i'm talking about the people that mite have seen the mess not the fam because no1 ever thinks about the people that saw it happen.
But yeah the fam must be distraught aswell as it is.
If you're going to commit suicide then do it in ya own time and in your own company!!!!

it obviously affects people in different ways to commit suicide,my good friend dave lost his dad, lost a baby with his girlfriend which ended there relationship after 4year's,He had jumped from a local train bridge into the oncomming train(now that takes balls)and left a note to his family under a can of pop from where hed jumped,i just look back and think only if hed come to his friends and family for help.:( (yeah it does bring a tear to my eye when i mention this story,as i literaly grew up with him).
