View Full Version : Woke up my cav today (caution pictures of cav neglect inside)

After many months of neglect since ive had my nova on the road i thought it best to dig her out and fire her up, freshly charged batter last week and she fired first go, handbrake cable is sticking where it goes through the runner on the beam so after freeing off the rear wheels and got her rolling i decided i best bath her as she has been uncovered and under trees for months............

She still needs to go to my work and have a good steam clean but i got the thick (quite literally) of it off, and wouldnt mind seeing if i could sweet talk a certain person who drives a sexy black golf into giving her a mop pver for me too lol

Anyways enough drivel, shocking neglect pictures, some pictures of the abuse of my cav may be distressing so viewer caution is advised lol

And boost guage and thats it aint it, unless there are any n/a 1.7 izuzu's in scrappy near you?

How much you planning on upping the boost to ya mad bugger, dont forget its gonna be my daily driver, also what kind of bleed valve do i need as there are loads of differing types two or three pipe jobbies and will any boost guage be sufficient or does it have to be a diesel specific one?

boost gauge 30psi one,
just go raid your scrappy for loads of intake pipes,
just a bypass bleed valve

Bleed valve = t piece in vacumn hose with a carb jet (drilled to suit bleed required) attatched to the output.

Known people have 200sx's run double standard boost reliably for at least 2 years using that method.

Yeah but i cba with the work that would be entailed to do it though, new chassis leg mount plus all fuel lines and wiring loom as i dont think a mechanical diesel loom would be the best to try and wire a let into, and she has a cat1 alarm id have to rip out and re-install if i swapped the looms over, rather keep her as cheapy derv and up the boost lol
