doing a conversion for a guy and not sure what to charge... always done my own so not really sure how to price.
it needs
couple of small plates welded
alternator mod
strengthening kit fitted
bay primed and sprayed
few dents sorted and then sprayed.
what would you charge?
well its easily worth 500-600 i would have thought

theres probably a few other things aswell
Price of all parts (unless he supplies them) + What you feel is right for your time.

£750 area easy
or
£40 p/h
iu would say, what are you happy to charge an hour, what would you liek to earn an hour,
and then work out maybe how long it takes and then agree a price with him, because you dont wanna do the work and then not get paid lol

talk to him about what he expects to pay, then compare it to what you think you need. hours & cost per hour soon adds up. just think what a professional (ha ha) would try to charge.........

welding:
hole in the floor
de-lock 1xDoor
hole where the rear wiper was
top strut mounts (but I think the plate kit covers that, not sure though)
the front end stitch welded
hole on wing where arial was
small bit of rust on boot seal lip
both rear wheel arches cut off and new ones stuck on
Body:
Dent on drivers door
deep scratch on passengers rear quarter
small dent on boot
Paint:
Looking for Vauxhall red,
Polly Bush Set, fitted
Suspension Kit fitted
engine fitted
then windows and doors et refitted
what do you think?

i reckon atleast a grand.if you have the skills to do it then you are worth being paid a decent amount.think about it top garages charge a lot of money for basic servicing!!decent trade people are worth atleast £200,00 a day

i want to give a upfront price. i can do it all no bother (apart from arches) but a welder pal will do them.

definatly as i got quoated £1k for a 16v conversion alone, not so long back

was that for fitting the plating kit aswell?
