hi dudes can some 1 please tell me where im going wrong im doing a xe convertion with a f16 box using the original linkages off my merit [f10] and when trying to put it in to 1st 3rd and 5th its hitting on the steering rack i think iv done every thing rite , i put the linkage where it was befor and it hits please some 1 help

Did you flip the white plastic part of the universal joint around?

flip the plastic universal joint around to give the nova linkage a longer reach.
However, the differential casing of the F20 and F16 are different to the F10/F13, etc small block gearboxes. You need to put spacers between the rear gearbox mount (as mentioned above), and the gearbox differential so that the engine/gearbox is not twisted in the engine bay.

which universal joint , its not very often that i get chance to go down to it so i dont wanna waist any time gettin confused , cheers

The one connecting the linkage to the selector fork/turret.
