p400 and work down to an p800 for paint. if your primering it first you can finish of at 180

180 is a bit harsh aint it that would take a lot of primer i use 320 before prime then hammer on with primer
then rub primer with 800 and finish with 1200

guess if you find it ok but ive used too course paper in base and lacquer and its left sanding marks my process is
1. rub down panel round repair
2. fill then rub down with 320
3. reskim again rub down with 320 again
4. rub down rest of panel with 800
5. panel wipe full panel
5. primer with 2k filler primer around 5 coats on repair 2 coats on panel
6. rub down with 800 then lastly rub off with 1200
7. panel wipe again then tack wipe the panel
8. base coat with light coat then leave to flash off(7 mins approx)
9. another base coat then flash off
10. final basecoat then flash off
11. lacquer first coat is the tack coat then leave to flash off
12. relacquer i normally only do one good coat but some stuff and paint requires more

when final lacquer i use low pressur on my gun as too much air leaves an orange peel effect but my lacquer is always on the point of running but when dries looks like glass
