Spoted a tidy mk1 astra 1300s tonight so i asked the owner who was at home if he wanted to sell it. He seemed keen, but asted why would i wana mk1 5 door astra 1300s. Well i didnt tell him but i dont think he has any idea what its worth as its mint. As we got talking he mentioned that he had a Mk1 astra gte in the garage which is ****ed he said. But i thought the engine must be worth something as the dissy can be used on the xe for carbs. So i had a look at it, its black done 113k been standing in his garage for 5 years. I offerd him 150 pounds for it he said ok and it comes with a load of spares. What you think fair price? But also as i left i oferd him a swop my blue nova xe for his 1300s and hes gona let me know when i pick the gte up.

I think they only did the 1300s in one colour i only say this because i mentioned it to my friend and he said was it ....colour and i said yes how did you know that and he said they only came in that. Any one got a picture? Il take some photos tomorrow as im paying him for the gte and my friend wants to come and see as he might bye it off me. Its was nice to see one iv not seen one in black before and i was so excited, i only thought about the engine and dissy but now thinking about the car its self maybe someone would be interested in resoring it.

1300s came in a range of colours, but like many cars they had their fav colours... id say the 1300 is rarer than the gte tbh
