View Full Version : Thinking of selling but not sure how much for?

Im thinking of selling my Silver Merit. I brought it for £1000 which I feel was over priced at the time. I have now done a lot of work to it.If I list what I have done could people offer sensible prices that I could possibly sell for?

Ok...

I have had all the rear and inner arches fixed,resprayed and rolled.
Replaced all the CV boots
Replaced brakes
Replaced flexi pipe exhaust with full stainless steel powerflow life time waurentee.
Fixed all interior lights.
Fixed the heating,the water pump had some how been welded to something.
Swapped the OZ alloys for GTE wheels.
Lowered by 40mm
Interior is in good nick,no holes or marks etc.

Full MOT. Only failed on bulbs

Years Tax

Brand new Boch battery

Bad points: There seems to be a slight oil leak from somewhere, I did take it to the Garage but they said they couldn't find 1.

It does over run a tad but that can easily be adjusted I just havn't got around to it.

My friend said I should at least be able to get what I paid for it back as it's in pretty good condition but as I've spent so much money undoing the previous owner's bodge jobs ideally I would like to try and get as much as possible.

Any sugestions??:)

Novas seem to be getting more and more expensivr so I'd say at least what you paid for it TBH. Its a nice wee car from what I've seen so you should get at least that.

What is the engine size my friend? what sort of trim inside and out? i.e sr, merit, gte, gsi

oh yeah engine size! It's a 1.6, I think it's a cav engine.Trim is standard merit grey.

I have but I'm at work so unable to put any up at the momment :)

Don't let him go then, put a bigger lump in, the regrets i have had in letting past vehicles leave me is unbelievale. Just have a think about it is my advice.

well most likely bigger and better,i'm looking at an mr2 (waits for all the sarcastic comments) :roll: or a BMW 318i. OR a mint standard nova GTE or SRi but they're hard to come by that havn't been ragged etc
