4th to 5th

Im having to push down and across (Like you would for reverse)

did your car used to be a 4 speed. or try and adjust the linkage.

Maybe when it was a 1litre probably, its got a f20 box now. I wouldnt know where to start with regards to adjusting

1.just loosen the bolt that connects your gear selector to the gearbox mount selector (one with the ball joint on,not sure of name) then push your gearstick left making sure not to move it into gear, then tighten bolt then have a look it's in the right place. (Untill you get all the gears) 2 man job

2.Or make sure the plastic piece on the right hand side of the gearstick is lobbed off enough to get 5th. if not hack saw it off.
