manta i400 FTW i love the sound of that 2.4 16v cih engine.

a mate of mine is completing his replica. its not 5 stud and all, but i still love it.

the 2 extra intakes on the bonnet are needed, there's a 3.6 Irmscher engine inside, and without the scoops it doesnt close lol

jesus ive gone through all those old school rally videos on you tube over the years there is some cracking driving on there!!

oh and manta's chevette's ascona's any old vauxhall/opel kicks ass!!

Theres several Manta and Ascona 400 Reps. Anyone that knows the Bright Orange Ascona 400 in Total Vauxhall a few months back, that guy has 5 or 6 of them and all are pictured there, his orange one rund a bottom end I supplied.

When did you ever see a Mk1 Cav in Motorsport? Mk1 Cavs are the Ascona and Manta's inbred cousin.

Spud, thats a Manta A, and they are cool.

Scott, Manta B & C are the same as the Cavalier mk1 Hatch and Coupe, the 2dr version however is the same as the Ascona but with a different front end. Also, Cav mk1s had no slots in their grills whereas the Manta Bs has 2 slots and the C's had 4 slots.

It was a Cav Saloon 2dr, Brizer from TotalOpel.

He got a 2dr Mk1 Cav and re-fronted it with brand new Ascona parts. I remember seeing it mid build. It was a sight for sore eyes!! :D


You got a Mk1 Cav 2dr and a Mk1 Cav Coupe. The Coupe was Manta based and the 2dr was Ascona based.

Ive been trying to find him a dvd called manta magic from the 80's but cannot find one in stock anywhere

Anyone got it?

I think Duke converted it from vhs......
