right well my car wont tick over as soon as the revs drop below 3000rpm it dies then i keep hammering the throttle and it comes back to life, If i keep it above 3000rpm then it runs ok just as soon as it goes below it dies, Now i got told it could be the air filter i have on and that its drawing in to much air, Could this be true ?? But is there any thing else that could be a problem ?

Any thoughts welcome as i havent a clue lol

lol i dont see how it could be causing the problem, But i the air filter sounds crazy as there is alot of air going into it as it majorly sooking all the time

No its a green filter, Im going to put the standered one on and see if that makes it run better.

Just block off that red pipe.

Its not on atol as its connected to the old standered bin lid filter

block it off where it went on the TB.

block it off where it went on the TB.

This one doesnt connect up to the tb it runs from the bottom of the standerd air filter to the top of it, Ill get a pic to show what red rubber thing im meaning.

hmmm, i was sure it went on the tb but whatever.

the car should run fine with that filter. my car ran without a filter fine.

Get some carb cleaner and pull off the ICV and give it a good clean. also make sure all the sensors are connected inc the map sensor.

red hose doesnt matter.

if all the problems happened after the filter change then maybe the new one draws in too much air, knocking the mixture out.

That little pipe problery goes to the TB, which is problery what im thinking off.

And i cant see it "knocking the mixture out". My 1.2 spi, 1.2 carb and my 1400 xe all ran without filters fine.

try the old filter and see what happens. and take it from there.

Now dies if you go below 2000rpm :) its getting there lol just needs a good run and it'll be ok, I took it out for around 10minutes last night and its running alot better so a decent run should sort the problem.
