Would a bucket of pva glue or something like that not be sufficient bud?

Id say line the roof with a layer first before you put your proper lining up otherwise you might get unsightly bulges as it has foam spacing pads in it originally doesnt it!

stich pockets into it same as standard lining and use the same rods and clips but an extended version.

Iron on velcro to the lining and stick the other half to the roof?

Glue gun? I swear the glue you put in those things is nearly "No More Nails" calibre.

Burgo please can I see pics of said headlining as I've given up trying to find one and going to make one up very soon?

Depending on what material is being is used, spray glue/glue guns might seep through??

I've used glue gun on single layer of leathercloth and didnt seap through, and I think most headlining material is vinyl, but usually foam backed, so I dont think it'll seap through.

But yes would depend on the material used.

Can you not acquire a large headliner from a minibus or similar and cut to fit then paint/recover and attach to the Novan roof with the plastic studs/grab handles/interior light methods that modern cars use mate?

I know you said you want it seamless but it's gonna be hard to do given it's so big and probably won't stay up well imo.
