1600 twin 40's egr hole??

My twin 40's 1.6 8v was running like pants, and been scratching my head when i noticed early what can only be described as a blue gas flame coming out of a hole in the block lol looking on standard inlet it looks like it would be where the egr came from, do i need to block this off on the block some how (if so how??) or have i got the wrong manifold? Thank you please :thumb:

sounds like it might be an inlet for another small block.

Can't you just run a blanking plate?

just tap the hole and fit a stud i used a wheel stud and it worked fine just a nip taking it to bits to tap the hole

EGR blanking plate. I bought one off eBay for my X18XE1.

cant see how a blanking plate will work coz the hole is right next to 2 bolts for the inlet manifold so the plate will push the manifold on the piss and that wont sit straight, tap and bolt it is!
