whats the better one to get?
also what are both like to maintain etc?
thanks:thumb:
2.2 needs its chain doing. much like you would a cam belt. so not that much better in terms of maintenance free.
from what rexy was saying, riggys 2.2 is a slag in the handling stakes..... but my 1.8sri is fapping amazing!!!!!!! and they are both on std suspension which I find odd.
so probably the 2.0 would be a better middle ground

my mate had a 2.2 and whats always in the garage having work done, but went well and was very nice to drive!
handled very well on standard wheels and suspension!
2.2 seems to handle fine to me, but I haven't driven the 1.8 to compare.
2.2s are crap! done loads of chains on them and they burn oil!

My mate's dad had a 2.2, he hated it. Apparently not as quick as you expect.

2.0 dude, a 2.2 will need some oil squirter mods and if the paper oil filter disintergrates then it will jam them up and snap the chain!

mine dosent burn a drop of the stuff thanks and its abused epicly lol
the paper filter only disintegrates if you stick to the 20K servicing... do it atleast every 10K and its "fine"
No, the 2.2 has chair probs because people dont change the oil enough and use the wrong grades of oil.
2lt is a bit better tho.

2lt Turbo ;)
The 1.8 has less sensors than t'others (which always fail)
After advice from a few people me and my mrs decided on the 1800 Sri.Its only flaw in my opinion is the fly by wire throttle

lol think mine is down to the tyres , as in the dry its awsome but with a bit of water on the road its the worst car ever lol even worse then the nova haha other then that ive had no probs and still on original chain and on 114k now
Its only flaw in my opinion is the fly by wire throttle
imho its fine except for its heavily damped closing so "lift off oversteer" will only happen at deadly speeds lol
