I've just got some bike carbs, I've read an R1 fuel pump is a good idea.

I have a carb engine.

Is there an option which enables me to leave the existing fuel pump in? Maybe use a FPR? Or is the Carb fuel pump just not strong enough?

Need to be running at about 3 psi.

The carb fuel pump will be a low flow/low pressure one. Cant remember the psi.

Just get a bit of plate and blank it. New bit of pipe too :)

You could also just leave the std cam driven pump on with no pipes on it... do no harm.

Solid state Facet pump rated for carb'd engines up to 130 hp, that would do.... think mine was around 35 quid posted off ebay.

P.S. I have seen bike carb'd 1300 running std cam driven pump... something to research more dude

I'd try the std pump first, it might just work.

Well it's going on either a 1200 or 1300 so using original fuel pump would be a massive help, but I'm not fussed if I cant use it.

What do standard SPI pumps run at?

Just weighing up options before I go buy a facet pump

Just try the cam driven pump first. If its not up to the job then buy a facet

SPI pumps are low pressure, dont know what pressure tho.
