Hello Richard i do believe your talking in reference the C20XE sump gasket ??
If you are then yes they are PRONE to the odd leak and yes everyone tends to supply themselves the 20NE/20SEH sump gasket that comes complete with the baffle plate thanks for your question

The engine is a 2.0 LET, is the different sump gasket straight forward to change, I mean there is nothing different shape wise?
Get the baffle/gasket kit from Chris Astley. Remeber to bend the 'tag' on the baffle though.... otherwise you will get a bottom end 'tap' lol
I thought you only got the tap if running Arp's?
