Alreet chaps!
Bit of an odd problem for you here, my pioneer head unit had a cable out the back for an aux in input, in the form of a female jack lead,
I have plugged my n96 in via a jack lead, but now i cant find anywhere to switch the source to aux, NOW if i dont have a cd in i cant select cd as a source option,
so maybe the head unit isnt picking up a signal from my phone?!
any help is much appreciated, and thanks in advance lads!

what model is this radio? i had a ripspeed dv720 which was a motorized 7inch touchscreen unit and had the same as you the aux in which i used for ipods etc. now when i tried using my usb harddrive in the car it would not see it as being there, which is the same problem as yours, the only thing i can really suggest is try an ipod in there and see if it pics it up if it doesnt you know its a problem with the unit itself or on the other hand when you connect you phone do you put it in the 'music player' mode? but too be honest i think it will just not read mobile phones. Like i say try an ipod and you will know from that. Hope this helps mate if you want any more help just give me a shout,
ian

ive just copied this from another forum ian where one of the members was helping, i found on the net other people with pioneer HU were having the same problem, in the end it came to this
DEH-P55BT: Switch the device off via SRC button. Press the FUNCtion button in the middle below. When the info is displayed, press function again until you read 'AUX1 on/off' or AUX2 on/off'. Move the jog navi-button up or down to enable or disable the AUX function and press the function key to validate.
got it working......
WHY!?! oh why! should i have to enable an aux function, for the life of me i cant understand! why doesnt it just come enabled and i dont want to use it... i just wont!
Maybe you should look at your ripspeed one and there may be a similar method for activating your aux,
ive had the HU for in excess of 3 years and never once found that options menu!
