n/s nova driveshaft

nearside front driveshaft from vauxhall nova, i believe the one im looking for is 22 spline outer and 28 spline inner from a nova gsi or nova turbo diesal

any help would be great as i grudge going to vauxhall and paying there prices

Is it needed for a 2ltr? If not any shaft will fit

^^^^^ as rich says above, if for conversion you need 22 spline shafts to run mk2 cav 1.6 inners to big block boxes, if just standard nova shafts you need i have a set here from a sr wot did conversion on a while back.

nah its not for as 2.0 but it need to be 22 and 28 to suit the cv joints i have

Your be lucky mate. Those shafts are worth about £100 for the pair.

Buy the correct CVs.

ill pay what i have to pay the moneys not the problem the finding it is, ive hopefully found 2 sets on mig if there what i need ill just buy both sets lol

the shafts actually for a corsa but its a long story so wont go into it

Just checking, you do know corsa shafts are an inch longer.

yes that the problem the shaft on the cars about an inch to long lol

Ive got a short nova shaft already with both joints on. Not a 22spline one though, pm me an offer. Where abouts are you?

no good mate, one side deffo needs to be 22 the other side can be 28 or 22 unless theres another inner join that will fit an f15 box

22splines is on the shaft itself, the join that actually fits into the gearbox are all the same (apart from the inside being 22spline to fit on the shaft)

so the shafts you have what splines are on the shaft itself?

so far the shafts i have are

22-22 astra mk4 diesal (to long)
22-22 corsa gsi (to long)
28-28 corsa sport (to long)

because ive done a 5 stud conversion the cj joints im using are mk4 astra diesal cv joints so need 22 splines on the shaft to suit them but as for the inner joint into the gearbox ive got a joint that takes 28 splines from a corsa sport and a joint that takes 22 splines from a corsa gsi

so ideally need a shaft to suit that

right ill explain whats happened lol

ive got a 1997 corsa sport with a x16xe engine and f15 gearbox, using chris astley motorsport big hubs i fitted mk4 astra diesal cv joints to the existing shafts, the sports driverside shafts when the joints were off had 22 splines on each side and the astra joint went on perfect so got that all built up but then when i went to do the same on the passengerside it turned out the shafts had 28 splines on each side so the astra joint wouldnt fit, i begged a corsa gsi shaft off my mates xe conversion which has 22 splines on each side and swopped the cv joints and when i went to put it back together found that the shaft was about to long, so need a shorter shaft ie nova shaft to go on instead, ive got 2 cv joints for the f15 gearbox one takes 22spline shafts and one take 28spline shafts but because the astra joint is 22spline i need a shaft that it will go on so thought nova gsi/gte and td models have these shafts

i have a 22 spline nova passenger (short) shaft if its any good to you, comes with the outer c.v. on and has a 22 spline inner, its from a nova gsi, £10. pm me if you're interested
