ive just got blistien sport dampers and 60mm progressive lowering springs it a lot lower and the handelings great. but what ever you do try and get spring and dampers not just springs on there own as you standard dampers will get buggered. when i had it fitted it was like a whole new car!
Ive heard good things about gmax look at this topic

i buaught a bilstein streetline kit which came with some generic springs

handles REALLY nice and it looks as tho its about a 40mm drop tho it may be 35

i got mine from demon tweeks for just over 200 quid

and the only think i dont like are the fact that the springs are red when the rest of the car will be white with blue and black detailing

but thats a moot point really as most of the time the springs are brown with dirt anyways

our motor has a gmax kit on it, its off chris_w old 1.2 as well IIRC, but its well upto the job, sits a tiny bit lower than it should, but looks well agressive.

handles VERY well.

when you touch your suspenion though make sure you get the tracking done all you will have front tyres like mine LOL

tyres are so bald on the one side that the other side has worn to the legal limit!

methinks i need a new set 2moro before i spin away from the lights and result in a blow out

I had gmax - 60mm full kit, and had 15s with a 45mm offset, just needed the lips on the rear arches cut. Looks lower than other cars lowered 60 and handles very very well.

Looks lower cos your cars only had 15's on.... the bigger the wheels the higher ur car will be.
