yep relay has been done also ;).
Spud, they still make the isuzu lump for marine applications and you can get the parts really cheap, the guy got the alternator for 40 squid. Failing that I know there is one at DMS

Yeah i got my relay at the same time as the alt, was £10 for the relay and £160 + vat for the alt and that was trade:eek:, thanks to me getting it fitted at my mates garage i no longer have the packaging so unipart wont/cant send it back!

The solenoid thingy is fudged, it will only charge once the engine has been revved to 4k+

Is sposed to get two charge signals, one at startup and one at 4k, its only getting the second signal so unless i kick its ass from cold then i are battening the flattery, and im not kicking its head in till its warm and by that time im at work and the battery doesnt have enough power to start it again as its not charged:cry:

fine so far mate, not got the head of yet, unsure of weather to do the head gasket n give it a skim while its out (going to be doing the cambelt anyway) plus i can get the head skimmed for 30quid unsure atm might just see what the compressions like and go from there lol its turning into a pretty much full re-build and it needs to be done for the last week in july so i can drop it in :roll:
