Discussing it with a mate on MSN. We see A4/Prelude? and obvioulsy Vectra. I know it's spaceframed so was never anything, just interesting why it's such a hash lol.

Ah you're right mate - on both counts!

Would love to drive something with a proper setup like that, the driving position looks awesome.

I thought the lights were early A4, but Astra is closer. A4 bonnet though? Looks a little like a C class too (very little) lol

Bonnet does look audi, but could also be 4 series Volvo? Its a right mish mash :)

Love it!!

Too rounded and not deep enough (grille) for 440 IMO, dunno about other 400's though - if there is any? lol

These are FG/Carbon Fibre body shells used for Racing in Mondello Park in Kildare, Eire. They were designed with a budget in mind and so used Mk3 Astra head lights, and Vectra Tail lights. There are other cars thrown in there but iirc they all ran 2.0 Zetecs. They were like a Budget version of Formula Ford and the like. The engine in that one isnt stock from the period.

Nice one for clearing that up Dod :)

Yeah, Montune in a spaceframe yes please!
Although it's very clear they have been elbow deep in the parts bin, there's still no excuse for replica M3 mirrors IMO. lol

it was never anything mate, 100% race car, think they are junior ranks! I was surveying jonathon palmers (f1 driver if the '80's and founder of formula palmer audi etc) house/mansion a few years ago, his son was racing them at the time and I asked him about them as there were some pics of his on the wall etc

Be good fun I bet think they are called t cars or something!
