I know they did the 'Irmscher Spider' in a 3dr shell but I didn't know they did the Hutchinson as a 3dr as well...?

I know there is ment to be hutchinson hatchs but i didnt think it looked like that.

John
11-06-09, 01:23 PM
yeah, the hutch came in 3dr, someone on here has one iirc. Don't think that's a hutch though. Some sort of homedone conversion possibly. Wonder what it looks like with the roof off? (edit, sorry slow mob connection!)

Something about it - Looks so crap but still looks 'special'

I've never seen anything like it before

An Irmscher Spider is a lot different as well...

burgo

it was baxter who had a hatchback hutch. thing is the roof support and the way it attaches alone the front edge looks the same as a hutch

burgo
11-06-09, 01:28 PM

John
11-06-09, 01:30 PM
looking at it from the rear luke, i think someone has converted a mk2 with all the hutch stuff. They were all mk1's iirc.

burgo
11-06-09, 01:30 PM

burgo
11-06-09, 01:36 PM

wish i had seen it earlier. cherry was practicly on the phone getting a loan to buy it whilst i was on the phone to the guy who had it for sale.

hutch hatches are extremely rare. probably why this bloke built/converted this one

The plate has got to worth more than 350 quid if its included in the sale, Scott posted this up on tuesday on the trader

the reason hutch hatches are rare is because they really weren't that popular, but the saloons were!!!!!!! i always thought the hutch saloons were a bit kit car in the finishing off, but i've only seen a corsa b cabrio hatch & and that was a bit pants

Lee
11-06-09, 08:37 PM
Looks like an Abortion to me :)

So it could be a hutch i suppose lol

11-06-09, 08:40 PM
lol Only ever seen one Hutch before, brown saloon driven by an old boy about 6/7 years ago. Must say I am not a fan of the fit and finish. There's a red one around here too. Pass. lol

Lee
11-06-09, 08:41 PM
To me, they've always looked like someone chopped the roof off a hatch, and then threw some tarp over it!

L14MNP
11-06-09, 08:42 PM
Yup! It was the prestud button type things on the A pillars that put me off lol

Ben

is this to even out the fact that you've got a nova with a lot more roof than normal?

no. mr michalak made his a mid engine one but that was the only one. the rest were normal set up

well, its about time someone did one with a large engine in the back then.... a sort of VX220 type thing, but nice looking & in metal

burgo
11-06-09, 10:58 PM
well i was gonna do a pick-up with a v6 in the back but could make a michalak rep instead i spose

mowgli
11-06-09, 11:00 PM
I think the pickup would be wasted with the engine in the back, apart from the 'OH, its not being delivered!!!!' effect
