just a quick one guys will a nova 1.5D rad fan switch fit in a 1.2 rad?
and dose it come on at a lower temp??

thinking of buying one for the 1200 as it looks like the fan switch needs replacing so i was going to get one that cuts in a little cooler for the summer and my girl always goes to big towns so thought it would help in trafic etc

Doubt its any different, i may be wrong.

If your worried about it add in a override switch.

could fit a switch as i bridged the wires today with a screw driver to check the fan etc was ok so i can see how to do that :)

but will the g/f remember the switch is there and to turn it on and off lol is the question

i have a small fan off a 900cc bike that i am going to fit when i get the spair time on a switch for her.

Do a 1.2 wont get that hot, even when sitting in traffic...
The normal fan and switxh will easily be enough.

Your best bet would be to fit a new standard switch, check it works and if your worried about it being too hot when it cuts in (shouldnt be) then just add a switch in too.

I have a switch that gets put on as soon as i get in traffic. Mines right next to the dials and is bright red, cant miss it really.

Altho tbh you shouldnt need that, just get a decent rad fan switch.

deffo worth doing as a temp. thing till u can source a rad switch, was stuck in traffic on my way home at 11pm tonight, bloody motorway was shut off and hundreds of cars squeezing down this little lane, fire trucks everywhere, fan was on and off for a good 20 mins.

Why does that matter, the fans there to do that and its works and does it, what the prob?

Ive never understood why people panic when the fan cuts in, you need to worry if it doesnt kick in!

The amount of customers that leave the car with us saying its overheated, when we ring them they tell us the fan cut in while sitting in traffic, duuhh!

thanks for all the coms guys

that is what i was saying i was worryed about it not cutting in :thumb:

all sorted now 1.5d switch is difrent and costs alot more then standered one
cheapest place to buy one is off ebay £6.00 inc P&P

we found my girls car had a air lock in the system still  when we undone the senser for the gage (all so fooked) my mate undone the bottle top letting the vacume (spelt wrong) out pushing the air out then the water through the hole the temp senser scews in to (if that makes sence) when the water come up i did the sencer up. let it all run up and the fan now cunts in with out the water bubbling up :D i have fitted a by pass switch incase.

if it was one of my old sheds i wouldn't be worryed at all just be a case of driving it with the heaters on and pointing out the windows. but i have just spend over £200 on the nova and dont realy want it killing its self again to soon lol

If you where worried about it not comming on, start the car and leave it to run till half way where the fan comes on. If it doesnt then you know you need a new switch.

Mine didnt come on, i needed a new water pump from where it got to hot and the seals melted.

Not by lettingit get to half way. You would of had to have boilded it to do that damage.
